The Crossbody | Orange
This configuration maximizes the architectural feel of the Crescent by utilizing a robust 5oz Tangerine Buttero single-layer strap. By matching the weight of the strap to the body of the bag, we achieve a uniform, streamlined aesthetic that feels intentional and balanced—perfect for a lightweight daily carry that still demands heritage-grade materials.
Design & Materials
Body: 5oz Tangerine Buttero (Conceria Walpier): A firm, full-grain Italian vegetable-tan. The 5oz weight is the "sweet spot" for this silhouette, providing enough rigidity to maintain the crisp half-moon shape while remaining comfortable against the body.
Strap: 5oz Tangerine Buttero (Single Layer): Cut from the same premium shoulder as the bag, this 5oz strap offers a slim, elegant profile. Buttero’s dense fiber structure ensures that even at this lighter weight, the strap remains resilient and resistant to stretching.
Hardware: Equipped with a Solid Brass zipper and solid brass adjusters. The gold-toned hardware acts as a bright, luxurious accent against the vibrant Tangerine leather.
Technical Specifications
Strap Build: A raw-edge, unstitched design. The underside is meticulously finished and smoothed to ensure it glides over clothing without friction or shedding.
Silhouette: The classic ergonomic crescent, designed to sit high on the chest or low on the hip.
Dimensions: 9” W x 6.5" H x 2.5" D.
Edge Work: Every edge is hand-sanded and burnished to a high-gloss finish using natural waxes. Buttero leather is famous for its ability to take an exceptionally smooth, rounded edge.
The Refined Evolution
The 5oz single-layer strap emphasizes the minimalist philosophy of the Buttero line.
The Look: A cohesive, "all-one-piece" feel where the strap acts as a natural extension of the bag's body.
The Patina: Buttero is highly reactive to light and touch. Over months of wear, the Tangerine will deepen into a glowing, translucent burnt-orange. The strap will become more supple as it breaks in, developing a deep, waxy luster that mirrors the evolution of the bag itself.
